This hotel was one of my good bets in Rome. The staff was really helpful, explaining to me everything about the museums and good places in Rome (The hotel owner spoke good English which was also helped). The place was spacious and clean. But for me, the location was the best part. The hotel is literally in front of the metro station and a few blocks away from the Vatican. Also, you can take a superficial train and several buses nearby.

Comfortable, clean and the location is awesome. Walk outside the front door and jump on the Metro - too easy. Great shopping in the surrounding streets and the Vatican is a short stroll up the road. Fabio could not have been more accommodating - thank you! Amy's breakfast were delicious and filled us up for our busy days ahead. Will definitely return to Federici Guest House. Thank you Fabio and team. Kylie & Michelle (Australia)

We had a fantastic stay in Rome at the Federici Guest House. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the air conditioning was efficient, with the hot daytime temperatures in Rome. There was always a fresh, fragrant smell in the room when we entered too. Fabio was a great host; very helpful on arrival with local knowledge and provided us with a map and suggested routes/areas of interest. He showed us around the accommodation, with use of the lounge area which was full of books and travel guides to Rome and Italy, fridge and tea making facilities are in a communal area, as is breakfast. Breakfast was lovely; a simple selection of boiled eggs, cheese, prosciutto ham, fresh bread, croissants, pain au chocolat, cereal, fruit juice, coffee and biscuits. Thanks to the lady who served us. Just enough to set us up for the day. Location is perfect for the Vatican City, just a 10 minute walk away and all other major tourist hotspots are to the south of the city. We walked to the Colesseum, along the river bank and this was a good hour's walk. Fabio ringed all the sights of special interest on our map and we found it very easy to navigate our way around. He even told us where we could expect to find Pokémon cards for our son back home :-) The accomodation was quiet and relaxing; a nice escape from the streets of Rome, with the added bonus of a free water bottle filling station (both still and sparkling) in the street outside and the convenience of the Ottaviano metro station opposite. We are looking forward to returning again soon.

Wonderful location with metro station right outside. Very close to the Vatican and many wonderful attractions. We found we could walk for @ half an hour to a good many of them. For those not into walking, the metro is right there. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Fabio the host was great to deal with, very friendly and also gave us details of his favourite places to eat authentic Italian food (Zia Rillo...great food). The only problem we had was finding ourselves on the wrong floor the 1st night where there is another hotel/guest house for the same company and we couldn't get in. Eventually we found out that we needed to be on a different floor. (Many thanks to the owner of the restaurant on the street who came up to help us and told us this... he lives in the same building!!!) A great place. Very highly recommended.

We enjoyed our accommodation. The room was large, bedding was comfortable and bathroom was lovely. The host was very helpful, giving us good local information about how to see the best of Rome. The location was great, so close to the Vatican, subway, restaurants and good shopping. The only down side was there were renovations going on in the building, so it was a little noisy in the mornings. That won’t last forever. We would recommend this place to others.
